Please review the following information to help you resolve any problems that you have may be encountering with our demonstration. This web page contains some detailed technical information that may be beyond the interest level of all internet users. Please go to our Platform Diagnostics Page to offer us feedback without having to examine the details, or forward this web page to your Network Administrator for examination.

What should have happened (if everything would have worked):
  1. Your browser will begin to download the web page from our server, and begin to render the HTML
  2. Browser:
    • Internet Explorer
      • Security set to Low
        1. The Java Applet will load and run
        2. All of the formatting options and the View Transcript button will be available
      • Security set to High
        1. You will be prompted to grant the Java Applet the permissions required to run
        2. The Java Applet will download and run
        3. Neither the formatting options nor the View Transcript button will be available
      • All other Security Settings
        1. You will be prompted to grant the Java Applet the permissions required to run
        2. The Java Applet will download and run
        3. All of the formatting options and the View Transcript button will be available
    • Netscape
      • You will be prompted four times (only once with Netscape 6.x) to grant the Java Applet the different permission required to run
      • The Java Applet will download and run
      • All of the formatting options and the View Transcript button will be available
  3. Streaming text will scroll through the text display area
  4. You will have the ability to change the Font, Font Size, and Color of the text
  5. You will have the ability to change the Background Color of the text display area (Not available for Netscape 6.x)
  6. You will have the ability to view an up to the second transcript of all text received
  7. You will have the ability to change the display language (If multiple languages are available)

Java Permissions Settings for Microsoft VM
If you are using the Custom setting for Java permissions under the Microsoft VM, please review the following:
  1. Run Signed Content must not be disabled
  2. Access to all Files must not be disabled
  3. Access to all Network Addresses must not be disabled
  4. Execute must not be disabled
  5. Dialogs must not be disabled
  6. Printing must not be disabled
  7. Protected Scratch Space must not be disabled
  8. User Selected File Access must not be disabled
