Player Implementation Guide

There are two options for integrating our player into your web page.

Add a Player Link to your web page.
Add the Player to your web page.

You can customize the player with Assignment Parameters and the Load Parameter.

Add a player link to your web page.
Copy the Link and paste it into the HTML of your web page
- The link can be placed anywhere within the body of the web page (<body>...</body>).
- The link can be placed within a container (<div> </div>, <td> </td>, etc...) or used as a stand-alone element.
- Use the Assignment Parameters and the Load Parameter to customize the player features and display.

Add the player to your web page.
Copy the iFrame Tag or Object Tag and paste it into the HTML of your web page.
- The tag can be placed anywhere within the body of the web page (<body>...</body>).
- The tag can be placed within a container (<div> </div>, <td> </td>, etc...) or used as a stand-alone element.
- Use the Assignment Parameters and the Load Parameter to customize the player features and display.
iFrame Tag
- The FullScreen icon is enabled by allowfullscreen="true" allow="fullscreen".
- If removed, the FullScreen icon will open the player in a new, resizable window.
- Ajust the size using the height and width style elements.

Object Tag
- The FullScreen icon will open the player in a new, resizable window.
- Ajust the size using the height and width attributes (or use style elements).

Assignment Parameters
- Are used to designate the Event connection
- Can be used to set default properties or bahaviors
- Can be used to remove (or add) player features
- Are added as querystring components of the Link, iFrame (src), or Object (data).
Parameter List
- EventID, ClientID, or EPC are used to specify the Event connection.
  - One of these parameters must be specified to access an event.
  - If more than one of these parameters are specified, the highest priority parameter will be used.
  - Parameter priority order (1 > 2 > 3).
    1. EventID requires a GUID (Globally Unique Identifier). Example: EventID=25E9D359-69CB-4A30-A103-D02E0B986042
    2. ClientID requires a valid eScription Client ID. Example: ClientID=value
    3. EPC requires a valid Event PassCode. Example: EPC=value
- Font** sets the initial font. You can specify any Font or Font-Family.
  Default=Lucida Console Examples: Font=SansSerif Font=Courier
- FontSize* sets the initial font size. It and must be a positive integer between 10 and 80.
  Default=14 Example: FontSize=18
- Cookies controls the storage of user settingg in a cookie. Cookies accepts either 0 or 1.
  Default=1 Example: Cookies=0
- SaveOption controls access to Save, Email, and Stream Transcript features. SaveOption only accepts 0 or 1.
  Default=1 Example: SaveOption=0
- Searchbar controls access to the Search feature. SearchBar only accepts 0 or 1.
  Default=1 Example: SearchBar=0
- Statusbar controls display of the Status features. StatusBar only accepts 0 or 1.
  Default=1 Example: StatusBar=0
- Toolbar controls display of the Toolbar (Broadcast and CART only). Toolbar only accepts 0 or 1.
  Default=1 Example: Toolbar=0
- Buttonbar controls display of a low profile Buttonbar. Buttonbar only accepts 0 or 1.
  Default=0 Example: Buttonbar=1
- Notesbar controls display of the Annotation features (Legal only). Notesbar only accepts 0 or 1.
  Default=1 Example: Notesbar=0
- Settings controls display of the Settings options. Settings only accepts 0 or 1.
  Default=1 Example: Settings=0
- Transcript controls display of the Transcript options. Transcript only accepts 0 or 1.
  Default=1 Example: Transcript=0
- Help controls display of the Help options. Help only accepts 0 or 1.
  Default=1 Example: Help=0
- * Cookie values will override any values set for FColor, BColor, Font, and FontSize
- * Recommend Fonts:Lucida Console, Courier New,Courier, Monospace, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, Sans-Serif, Georgia, Times New Roman, Times, Serif

Load Parameter
- The Load Parameter should come before any Assignment Parameters.
- It can be used to separate or remove the Title and Start time.
- Use it with Assignment parameters to build a custom player (by adding instead of removing)
- Each load value must be separated by a comma. Load=SpecheBox,Title,Start
- Not using the Load Parameter is the equivalent of using Load=All
Load Value Options
- All* - This will load all player components and features.
  It is the equivalent of Load=SpecheBox,Title,Start&Toolbar=1&Searchbar=1&Statusbar=1&SaveOption=1 (or not using the Load Parameter).
  It can be used with Assignment Parameters to build a custom player.
- Help* - This will load the Player Implementation Guide.
- SpecheBox - This will load the SpecheBox display only.
  It can be used with Assignment Parameters to build a custom player.
- Title* - This will load the Title, as entered during Event scheduling.
- Start* - This will load the Scheduled Start Date and Time, as selected during Event scheduling.
- * These are stand-alone values.
- * When loaded with the SpecheBox, this display component will appear above the SpecheBox.

Troubleshooting and Requirements
- Browser Support: Your browser must support HTML5, CSS3, and the Websockets.
  As of November 2021, nearly all available browsers support these features.
- JavaScript must be enabled.
- Data Connections:
  - HTTP and WS connections are requested from text.speche.com:80.
  - HTTPS and WSS connections are requested from text.speche.com:443.
  - Firewall, proxy server, and security device interactions are handled through your browser. Enter any necessary information into your browser, to allow connections through your firewall, proxy server, or security device.
  - Most network security configurations allow Websockets over HTTPS / WSS. It may be necessary to enable Websockets on some hardware security devices.
